Redington Value releases New Channel Program
Middle East (July 26, 2010) – The leading IT distributor company Redington Gulf has declared that its renown value-added distribution division in the Middle East and Africa, the Redington Value, will be releasing its Partner Connect program for its channels.

Microsoft Looks to Personal Clouds as the Future of Channel Partner Strategy
Washington, DC (July 19, 2010) – Kevin Turner, COO at Microsoft, explained during the vendor’s Worldwide Partner Conference that the direction of business and channel partner strategy will be towards the cloud. The company will bank on driving demand for personal clouds as work and personal life continues to merge into one. According to him, this move will open up new opportunities to increase profitability.
The increasingly fast-paced world and the various enhancements and advancements in technology have modified lifestyles and societal expectations. There is an increased need for more efficient and effective time management and organization. In the past, it was extremely difficult to merge responsibilities at home with those at work, and therefore there was an obvious barrier between both worlds. However, the newer and better technology of today has allowed people to break down these barriers and efficiently multi-task all types of responsibilities and commitments.
Cloud computing is said to become a technology that will be able to address the changing landscape of today as the lines that divide work and home slowly become obscured. Cloud computing is a fairly new innovation and offers on-demand hosting services over the internet. As explained by James Alexander, Info Tech Research Group senior vice-president, the expansion of the cloud computing will give partners the benefit of more opportunities to make even more business. “They don't beat drums or drive demand. They respond to demand and if Microsoft can drive the demand for the personal cloud they will learn to make money from a viable business.”
Alexander said that the concept of combining personal and commercial clouds is indeed highly likely in this day and age. However, there are still a lot of issues to resolve before it becomes a concrete reality.

Interesting, isn’t it? In my opinion, wind spinners are not only for the aesthetic enhancement of my shop, they also help me start a good conversation with customers and establish rapport with them. It’s hard not to notice my animated wind spinners so customers can’t help but ask where I got them. It’s great. I might even sell some since many seem to be interested in buying them.

BECU Installs NCR’s APTRA Vision
Minnesota, United States (June 9, 2010) – The Boeing Employees’ Credit Union or BECU was hailed by the NCR Corporation, a leading global technology company, as the first to install their NCR APTRA Vision, the newest venture software solution for self-service administration.
